Just a heads up that mezzo soprano Kimberly Barber (who gave such a spectacular performance of Ottavia in OA’s recent production of The Coronation of Poppea) is about to launch her most recent CD called L’Accordéoniste.
When I think of Kim, I think of her superb interpretations of Handel as opposed to the raunchy songs of Kurt Weill and his 1920s German cabaret contemporaries which this cd will feature. This being the case I can’t help but imagine the CD launch will be a revelation. Here’s all the information you need to enable you to attend the launch on July 16 in Toronto.
L’Accordéoniste will be launched at The Annex Live in Toronto on July 16 at 7:30 pm ($10 at the door), with a pre-show prix fixe menu ($25) available at 6:30 pm (416 929-3999 or visit www.theannexlive.com).
L’Accordéoniste will be available on iTunes and other digital retailers. For more details, visit http://www.facebook.com/home.php#/pages/LAccordeoniste/130166080108?ref=ts.
