Jeanne Beker, the fashion maven herself on Poppea:

I never fail to be transported whenever I drink in an Opera Atelier production. But The Coronation of Poppea is especially mesmerizing–for its sumptuous sets and costumes, profoundly beautiful music, gorgeous choreography, and utterly compelling performances. Marshall Pynkoski is the real hero here: His insightful direction is wonderfully inspired, taking us on a magnificent theatrical journey that dishes out countless memorable moments. The outrageously dark nature of what drives some of these ultra colourful characters provides plenty of engrossing food for thought, as we lap up all those intriguing, blurred lines between love, passion, ego, ambition, and the ultimate quest for power. Opera Atelier is truly a cultural treasure… Once again, I’ve been not only wildly delighted, but truly dazzled!
